About Us
ItzaClip! Doggy Day Spa started out in 2002 as a way to support my "dog training habit", as at the time I was taking a lot of seminars and helping out Fionavar k-9 training with teaching classes in obedience and agility.
I started working at Pampered Pets, and apprenticed with Pat Berlett and realized that I enjoyed the chance to work with the dogs one on one and show my artistic style.
In 2003 I opened my own shop and now we proudly service dogs from surrounding Olds area and as far away as Drumheller, Red Deer and Sylvan lake.
Many of my family members are involved in beauty and have artistic talent(my sister owns a salon(Jessica Nicole the Studio) in B.C and is a Matrix educator), I think this bleeds over into my grooming as well.
My background in horse training and then earning certificates in handling reactive dogs has enabled me to rehabilitate many nervous or scared dogs that have had bad previous experiences with other groomers.
My life involves my dogs, I rescued a Rottweiler/Lab/Husky mix (labweiler?? Rottidor??) in 2000 after hearing about how he had been severely beaten and mistreated for his first year of life. Even though he is a big suck and very needy, I love him to pieces!
My other furr kid is a Golden Retriever named Kactus that was born in 2002. She has been an incredible dog to train and own. My dogs and I have dabbled in Agility, Rally-O , tracking, carting, scooter-joring and now our newest adventure Ski-joring!
Kactus in Aug 2009, at 7yrs old.
I am currently also on a waiting list with Splendent Poodles for a Standard Poodle puppy. I am very excited to showcase my artistic abilities on my own dog, and to compete in agility.
I take great pride in being known for doing artistic and flattering styles while approaching the dogs differently than most groomers do.
This has caused me to be very particular about whom I hire, and how my clients are handled(learn whats involved in each groom). All employees undergo training by me personally and I place the safety and experience of the client above all else.
Our company is based on the belief that our customers'
needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to
meeting those needs. As a result, 95% of our business is
from repeat customers and referrals.
