Oatmeal Spice Dog Bone Recipe 4 cups whole wheat flour 2 cups old-fashioned oatmeal 1 1/4 cups water 1/4 cup minced apple 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 tablespoons honey 1 tablespoon ground cloves Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. I found that the dough wasn’t wet enough, so added a bit more water to make it all stick together. Roll dough on floured surface to 1/4″ thick. Use cookie cutters to cut into bone shapes. Place cookies on ungreased foil-lined cookie sheet and bake at 325 for 30-35 minutes. |
